Betty reaches artrageous heights

Beatriz O. Valdez

grew up in Cuidad Acuña, Mexico, a city bordering the Rio Grande River and Del Rio Texas. Betty graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila, Saltillo Mexico, with a BFA in art history. Her studies included restoration projects of historical murals in and around the state capitol city of Saltillo Mexico.

Betty’s professional career began in 1994 in the United States when she became an Art teacher at a Catholic elementary school in Laredo, Texas until 2001. After fulfilling her interest in teaching she decided to start doing what she really loved and that was to paint Murals and Faux Finishes.

Betty took a course to brush up in the latest techniques. She attended the Studio of the internationally acclaimed atelier of decorative painting and faux finishing Mr. Nicola Vigini of Vigini Studios in San Antonio, Texas http://www.viginistudios.com

Betty started to do small projects for friends and family. Soon after, she gained the confidence to market her talent to custom home builders and the general public. Betty immediately began received projects including the 2002 Laredo Parade of Homes, in which she was recognized for her awesome designs and details never before used in this scale.

Betty’s easy-going personality and desire to please is what keeps her client base growing and coming back.

She supplies each of her clients with a free estimate and rough sketch at their first meeting and before any painting takes place they are given a final estimate. She believes in up from pricing and completing a job when and only when the client is completely satisfied.
